2022 General Election: Tuesday, November 8, 2022 

2022 General Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th and polls are open, for in person voting, from 6:00am- 8:00pm. Please check your sample ballot that will come in the mail to locate your polling location or visit the following link to access your polling location site - click HERE!

Important Note: Your ballot for the 2022 General Election and future elections will reflect a shift in Congressional Districts. Millburn Township will now be voting for the 11th Congressional District candidates.

Important Dates For The Upcoming General Election on November 8, 2022:

• October 18th:
  Deadline to Register to Vote for the Election. Download New Jersey Voter Registration Application
• November 1st:
  Deadline to apply for a Vote-by-Mail Ballot by Mail for Election; see below additional information on Vote by Mail and ways to submit your completed Vote By Mail Ballot! 
• October 29th - November 6th:
  In-Person Early Voting Period. Visit the Essex County Board of Elections website for a list of early voting sites
• November 7th by 3:00 PM:
  Deadline to apply for a Vote by Mail ballot in person at the Essex County Clerk’s office located in Newark, NJ.
• November 8th:
  Election Day - Polls are open from 6:00 AM-8:00 PM. Election results, once available by the Essex County Board of Elections, will be available by clicking HERE!

New Jersey Division of Elections and Voter Registration System:

The New Jersey Division of Elections website includes various election information and voter services. Please click HERE to visit the site. 

 Vote by Mail

To get a Vote by Mail application, you may download it at www.essexclerk.com, or pick one up in person from Millburn Town Hall; completed applications should be mailed directly to the Essex County Clerk.  

Once Vote By Mail ballots are completed, they may be placed in the Essex County Vote By Mail Drop Box right in front of Millburn Town Hall, 375 Millburn Avenue, or mailed to the Essex County Clerk. If you choose to use the Drop Box, Vote By Mail Ballots are regularly picked by Essex County Officials (the Drop Box is under video surveillance).

Transportation:

The Millburn Township Senior Bus is available for residents 62 and older for transportation for the election. Please call (973) 564-7076 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. Monday through Friday or visit HERE for further details.
